When you make a payment on your Sparrow account, the payment amount will be reflected in your balance on the same day. However, it may take as long as five business days for your available credit to reflect this amount. This is because it may take several days for the funds to be sent to us from your banking institution. Even if you're able to see the funds deducted from your bank account balance, this doesn't necessarily reflect that the processing of the transaction is final and the funds have been received on our end.
Payments made using a debit card are processed immediately. Your account balance and available credit will both update right away. If you want the fastest payment processing, this is the way to go.
Payments made using ACH will post to your account balance by midnight PST on the day that the payment was made. Your available credit may not update until three business days later. Keep in mind that weekends and holidays are not considered business days.
Payments sent to us in the mail will post to your account balance by midnight PST on the day that they are delivered to our payment facility. We receive mail delivery Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. Your available credit may not update until five business days later. Keep in mind that weekends and holidays are not considered business days.
